Chelsea agree deal for ‘Russian wonderkid’ – FA will not block move

Chelsea have agreed terms for Russian wonderkid Arsen Zakharyan despite the FA looking to block any potential moves today.

Chelsea had hoped to bring in the young Russian star from Dynamo Moscow but the deal is seemingly off for this season, with the player likely to be signed and loaned back to Dinamo Moscow.

Having signed Wesley Fofana yesterday, fans expected Chelsea to be busy on the final day of the summer transfer window as they hope to bolster their squad after a tricky start to the season.

Next up is West Ham at home, and whilst they may be joined by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Edson Alvarez, they won’t be joined by Zakharyan.

Latest reports on Zakharyan

In terms of Zakharyan, the 19-year-old has been on Chelsea’s radar for some time but his potential move from Moscow to Chelsea is now on following reports that the FA would block any move.

Chelsea had been in negotiations and the deal had stalled, with the FA blocking the move. However, according to Championat, Dinamo and Chelsea have agreed on terms for the transfer of Arsen Zakharyan. The 19-year-old will remain on loan with Dinamo until they are able to receive the funds from Chelsea which is currently being blocked by the FA.

He will remain on loan at Dynamo until the money is transferred – most likely before the winter. The January window could be a chance for him to join the squad, but, if not, then the summer window in 2023 will be the right time.

With nine goals and nine assists last season, the talented attacking midfielder could be a very good signing in the future and its likely the Blues will revisit this in either January or or next summer.

The club is close to securing a swap deal between Aubameyang and Marcos Alonso, who wants the move to Barcelona having had personal terms agreed upon for weeks.

News has claimed that a full agreement now sealed between Aubameyang, his camp and Chelsea on the contract which is a two-year deal plus one year option.

Other news claims that the club are in line to sign Ajax’s Edson Alvarez who has reportedly missed training this morning to force a move.

What is even better news for Chelsea fans is that free agent Florian Grillitsch is on his way to Ajax to complete a move and is seen as a replacement for the now, seemingly, departing Alvarez.
