Bayern Munich set to renew interest in Hudson-Odoi

Bayern Munich have renewed their interest in Chelsea winger Callum Hudson Odoi according to reports.

Bayern Munich previously tried to sign the left-winger last January but the Blues weren’t willing to sell him.

Hudson-Odoi was on the bench when Chelsea beat Brighton, replacing new arrival Kai Havertz in the 80th minute. An indication of where he stands in Chelsea’s current squad.

Sky Sports reports that RB Leipzig and Juventus are believed to be interested in Hudson-Odoi also.

Frank Lampard’s thoughts on the speculation

Manager Lampard’s recent comments did little to add clarity to the recent speculation. Lampard was not aware of any speculation linking the Englishman to Bayern Munich.

However, he called on the youngster to up his efforts in training if he wishes to cement a place in the starting line-up.

Lampard was quoted as saying,” With Callum, he has to absolutely focus on the work he puts in on the training ground day in, day out”.

”Callum is a young developing player and a lot of talk has come his way because of the way his career has gone at a young age. The facts remain the same for all young players. They have to work every day to put themselves in the frame to start”

Hudson Odoi’s Future at Chelsea

With four years left on his contract, it is unlikely Chelsea will sell Hudson-Odoi. Chelsea rates him as one of the club’s top talents.

Chelsea has strengthened their key attacking places this transfer window. Hudson-Odoi has his work cut for if he wants a place in the starting line up.

He is at a key point in his career at just 19-years-old. Hudson-Odoi will have to block out the speculation surrounding his future.

He must take on his manager’s words and buckle down on the training pitch. Even more so now Hudson-Odoi will have to show the kind of professional he is to his manager.
